Hazel Avenue is a small estate of 100 homes. Around half of our residents are already members, and we're building on that every month. We're a volunteer-run association with a committee of five, and we're funded by our community, not by outside grants.
What we do
Community wellbeing
We bring neighbours together, so that people who live side by side get to know each other.
Public realm
We work on the shared spaces around our homes and raise issues with the relevant authorities, so that our street is safe, clean and well kept.
Residents' interests
We represent residents when decisions affect Hazel Avenue, and we make sure your concerns are heard.
Information sharing
We keep you informed about what matters locally, from council updates to practical news for the estate.
Events
We host the events that make Hazel Avenue feel like home: summer barbecues, community clean-ups and our Christmas get-together. Everyone is welcome, and it's a good way to meet your neighbours.
Get involved
Our association works because residents pitch in. You can:
- Become a member and support our work for the whole estate.
- Join a clean-up or help set up a barbecue.
- Share an idea or raise a concern, however small.
- Volunteer for the committee if you have time to give.
